Product description
OTTOSEAL® S 9 is a high-quality, neutral-curing one-part silicone sealant on an oxime basis. Developed specifically for the secondary edge seal of insulating glass, this product impresses with its excellent weather and UV resistance and its outstanding adhesion to numerous substrates.
Areas of application
- Edge seal of insulating glass units in combination with butyl rubber as the primary seal
- Sealing laminated safety glass
- UV-resistant, durable insulating glass seals
Properties
- Compatible with PVB films – suitable for laminated safety glass
- Very good weather, ageing and UV resistance
- Excellent adhesion to many substrates, often without primer
- High notch and tear resistance – resistant to high mechanical loads
- Non-corrosive to unprotected metal surfaces
Standards and tests
- Meets the fire behaviour requirements of EN 13501: Class E
- Tested to EN 1279, Part 2 and Part 4
- French VOC emission class A+
- Suitable for applications per IVD data sheet no. 35
