OTTOSEAL® S 112 – The glazing bead silicone
Product description
OTTOSEAL® S 112 is a high-quality, neutral-curing one-part silicone sealing compound on an alkoxy basis. Thanks to its low adhesion, it is perfect for sealing window sashes and glazing beads, making repairs easier and preventing moisture damage.
Areas of application
- Backfilling and sealing sash frames and glazing beads on windows & doors
- Improving tightness to prevent condensation
- Protecting the rebate base from moisture damage
- Sealing under the glass edge with a maximum overlap of 3 mm
Properties
- Low adhesion – enables the glazing beads to be easily removed again
- Compatible with PVB films – suitable for laminated safety glass
- Paint compatible to DIN 52452 – no interactions with adjacent coatings
- Low odour – pleasant application without disruptive smell
- Non-corrosive – gentle on unprotected metal surfaces
Standards and tests
- Meets the fire behaviour requirements of EN 13501: Class E
- French VOC emission class A+
