Product information "OTTOFLEX® deep primer"
OTTOFLEX® deep primer
Product description
OTTOFLEX® deep primer is a high-quality synthetic resin dispersion on a butadiene-styrene basis, developed for the adhesion-improving priming and consolidation of substrates. It is solvent-free and ideally suited for indoors and outdoors.
Areas of application
OTTOFLEX® deep primer is used for priming and consolidating absorbent and less absorbent substrates. It is particularly suitable for plasterboard, gypsum and lime-gypsum renders, gypsum planks, gypsum fibreboards, concrete, aerated concrete, sand-lime brick, brick, masonry, renders, screeds, anhydrite and mastic asphalt screeds as well as various building boards and trowelable floor-levelling compounds.
Properties
- Synthetic resin dispersion on a butadiene-styrene basis
- Adhesion improvement and consolidation of the substrate
- Increases load-bearing capacity
- Dilutable up to 1:2 with water
- Solvent-free
- Penetrates deep into the substrate
- Forms a very good bonding agent for subsequent application layers
- Improves the adhesion of renders, tile adhesives and wallpaper
- Store and transport frost-free
- Complies with exposure classes W1 and W2 to ÖNORM B 3407
- GISCODE BSW20
- EMICODE® EC 1 Plus – very low emission
- French VOC emission class A+
Application notes
- Dilute OTTOFLEX® deep primer 1:1 to 1:2 with water and mix thoroughly.
- Apply evenly to absorbent and highly absorbent cement-bound substrates with a lambskin roller, brush or paintbrush.
- Repeat the process for highly absorbent substrates if necessary.
- After the deep primer has dried, subsequent layers such as tile adhesive, renders or wallpaper can be applied.
- On screeds with old covering-adhesive residues, apply OTTOFLEX® deep primer undiluted and avoid puddle formation.
- For consolidating gypsum renders, anhydrite substrates and mastic asphalt screeds, likewise apply undiluted.
- After drying, the surfaces can be painted, rendered or wallpapered.
- The drying time depends on ambient factors and is around 2 hours at +20 °C and 50% relative humidity.
- Consumption depending on substrate condition and absorbency: 100–200 ml/m² diluted, 100–150 ml/m² undiluted.
OTTOFLEX® deep primer is the ideal choice for effective substrate pre-treatment before tiling and renovation work. Order now for reliable priming and consolidation!
