Fire protection joint cord for expansion and movement joints – REX A1 SG 300
The modern joint cord SG 300 was developed as the powerful successor to the proven SG 300 N and meets the highest requirements just like its predecessor. It consists of a non-combustible joint filling system in accordance with DIN 4102-A1 and EN 13501-1 and, depending on the configuration, provides 30 to 180 minutes of reliable fire resistance. This prevents the transfer of heat, fire and combustible gases in expansion and movement joints – ideal for demanding projects in building construction, civil engineering, tunnelling and industrial construction.
With improved material properties, optimised workability and a wider range of applications, the SG 300 joint cord sets new standards. Particularly important for existing applications: the 30 mm and 40 mm diameters of the SG 300 N are no longer available from the manufacturer. The SG 300 serves as a fully equivalent, compatible alternative and successor product.

Product properties
Like its predecessor SG 300 N, the SG 300 joint cord is based on the REX joint filling system, a non-combustible, highly resilient fire protection sealing system. Depending on configuration and joint width, the joint cord prevents the passage of fire and excessive temperatures for 30 to 180 minutes.

Notes on dimensioning
The exact number of layers and the required dimensioning depend on the desired fire resistance class and the existing joint width. The relevant values can be found in the tables in the technical data sheet (page 4).
